Digesting Your Way to Less Cellulite
Everyone knows that the healthier your diet is, the better chance you will have less ugly cellulite collecting around your thighs, buttocks and stomach. But did you know that if you aren’t digesting your food properly, even a healthy diet and plenty of exercise won’t be enough to make you healthy. The digestion phase of eating is where your body breaks down and absorbs all of the vitamins it needs from your food. Even if you eat a balanced diet, if stress, illness or fatigue are weighing on your body, you may pass much of the nutrition your food is trying to give you right through your body! There is a reason why so many European families take hours to eat every day, they understand that nutrition is the key to a healthy body, and a healthy body is key to reducing the appearance of cellulite!
Most people don’t realize that how you eat is just as important as what you eat. In today’s go-go world, many people, even those that choose to have a lunch made of whole wheat bread, carrot sticks and apple juice, tend to eat on the run. While this manner of dining is OK at times, it isn’t a habit you want to get into. By not allowing your body time to digest, you are robbing yourself of essential nutrients your body needs to stay, and look, healthy. Stress and fatigue are also common culprits that can rob your body of proper digestion. Even if you are eating right, too much stress and lack of sleep can often change the way your body takes in nutrients, and all of this can lead to additional cellulite formation on sensitive areas, instead of less. We understand it can be impossible to find the time to properly enjoy a meal, but for your health, it is important to try.
